Abstract. Coastal hazards have long been present and are evolving due to a variety of different drivers: the long-term threat of climate change, including sea-level rise, adds a new dimension to these problems which is explored by: Interests: sediment dynamics; geomorphology and coastal protection; shoreline evolution in a medium- to long-term perspective; numerical modelling; vulnerability and risk classification of coastal areas; cost and benefit analysis of different coastal erosion mitigation strategies; artificial sand nourishments and integrated coastal zone.

The Partnering for Risk Management and Engagement on the Coast (PRiME-C) cluster brings together the results and experience of 9 Interreg projects working in Integrated Coastal Zone Management (ICZM). The aim of the cluster is to achieve more effective and efficient risk management decision-making and policies across the 2 Seas region.
